Step 1A – Wrap the yarn over the hook and insert the hook from the back to the front of work on the right side of the next treble of the previous row.

Step 1B –Take the hook around the front of this stitch and bring it out at the back at the left of this stitch. The hook is now around the stem of the treble of the previous row.

Step 2 – Complete a treble stitch in the usual way, pulling the first loop back around stitch following where the hook was inserted.

A ridge will appear on the front of the work and a raised treble will form on the reverse side of the work.
